The CLA's Lester B. Pearson Award
The CLA's Lester B. Pearson awarded is prevented to recognize volunteers for outstanding contributions to the sport of lacrosse. The application form is posted below. The deadline to nominate an individual for this award is March 30, 2021.

4.2.4. CLA Life Members – Lester B. Pearson Award
18.104.22.168. The Lester B. Pearson Award is presented to an individual in recognition of outstanding contributions of sportsmanship and leadership in the game of lacrosse and to the physical and mental development of young Canadians through unselfish dedication as a volunteer.
22.214.171.124. Nominations for the Award must be forwarded in writing to the CLA Executive by March 1. Submissions must include details on how the candidate meets the minimum criteria set out below. Failure to provide the details will result in a rejection of the nomination.
126.96.36.199. If nominated candidates meet the minimum requirements and or not initially selected, their nominations will be automatically reconsidered for a period of four years without the need for resubmission.
188.8.131.52. The following are the minimum criteria for the Award:
184.108.40.206.1. a long term involvement of 10 years or more, at least 5 of which are at a national level, as a volunteer;
220.127.116.11.2. a significant contribution or enhancement or the legacy to the game of lacrosse at the national or international level; and
18.104.22.168.3. promoted a positive image and respect for the game of lacrosse.
22.214.171.124. The Executive may, by majority vote, approve one recipient of the Award per year.
126.96.36.199. The recipient of the Award shall be a Life Member of the CLA.
188.8.131.52. The awarding of the Lester B. Pearson Award shall be announced at the SAGM and the recipient shall be presented with the Lester B. Pearson Plaque.
184.108.40.206. The Award shall also be commemorated by its presentation at the recipient’s home MA/AMA’s next Annual General Manager by the CLA President, or in the absence of the President, another member of the Executive Committee.
220.127.116.11. All Lester B. Pearson Award recipients who have not, due to existing policy at the time, been awarded Life Memberships shall be Life Members.
18.104.22.168. A Life Member is entitled to attend all General Meetings of the Members and to be heard but shall not, by any reason of that status, have a vote.
