OLA ANNOUNCES BRUCE CODD AS NEW TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

TORONTO ON – December 1st, 2016 – The Ontario Lacrosse Association (OLA) is proud to announce and welcome Bruce Codd as its new Technical Director. Bruce will be responsible for the administration of the Ontario Lacrosse Association’s technical leadership and program development, the management of coaches training and on-going performance and the establishment of speciality skills opportunities for players in all sectors across the province.

Bruce comes to the OLA with many years of involvement and energy in both minor box lacrosse and professional indoor lacrosse. Having previously served as the Technical Director for the Alberta Lacrosse Association (2009 – 2011), Bruce brings professional technical experience to the OLA role. His playing experience spanned 13 years before he joined the bench staff of the Calgary Roughnecks of the National Lacrosse League. He is currently involved with the Toronto Rock of the National Lacrosse League, and with the CLA Founders Cup champion Orangeville Junior “B” Northmen of the OJBLL.

“We are incredibly fortunate to welcome Bruce as the newest member of the OLA staff,” said Stan Cockerton, Executive Director of the Ontario Lacrosse Association. “We are working with Bruce to lay out a technical vision for the sustained growth and development of participants across the province, and are confident in Bruce’s ability to execute this plan and meet our LTAD objectives.”
