By Act of Parliament, lacrosse is the national summer sport of Canada.

Whether you play box, men's field, or women's field, you are playing Canada's National Game. Whether you play tyke house league lacrosse or Major Series lacrosse, you are playing Canada's National game. Whether you are a first generation lacrosse player, or you come from a family of lacrosse players and are continuing the tradition, you are playing Canada's National Game.

It is my sincere wish that you enjoy your participation in this great game; I have no doubt that fans, friends and family will undoubtedly see some of Canada's future lacrosse superstars honing their talent throughout the 2023 season. The skills, attitude and commitment that you will learn throughout this year will be applicable for the rest of your life. Cherish every moment with a stick in your hands, for passion is the seed of which legends are born.

Best of luck to all participants in 2023, and remember play safe, respect your opponent and the officials; play fair and most importantly, have fun!
