OLOA & OLA Announce 2020 Tom Hutchinson Bursary Requirements For Officials
Though we were not able to have a season in 2020, the OLOA, in partnership with the OLA, sees value in recognizing a dedicated official through the Tom Hutchinson Memorial Bursary Award. This award includes a $1,000 bursary and is presented annually to one official attending Canadian post-secondary education. Interested applicants may complete the attached form and submit their essay to pr@ontariolacrosseofficials.com no later than November 5th at 12pm.

Teddy's Troopers (Ted Higgins / Parkinson Canada Superwalk)
For more than four decades, Ted Higgins has been a recognizable face in the Peterborough lacrosse community. Beyond the Kawartha Region, Ted is an Ontario Hall of Fame Inductee (1998), and a Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame Inductee (2005), both in the Builder Category. The Peterborough Century 21 Lakers President (MSL) was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in early 2019, and has teamed up with the Peterborough Kawartha Lakers Chapter of Parkinson Canada to raise money for the organization.
