2020 OLA Lawn Signs Promotion
The OLA Lawn Sign Promotion is now available for clubs throughout Ontario. Lawn signs are a great way to announce your club's registration and promote the sport within your community. The promotion period ends on Friday, January 31st, 2020. Sample signs are attached below - congratulations to Innisfil, Lincoln, Northumberland and Windsor for being the first four associations to order lawn signs for the 2020 season!
The cost for all orders in before the January 31st deadline is $200.00 for 100 lawn signs & wire frames. Signs must be picked up in Toronto (from the OLA Office; DVP & Wynford Drive). The OLA will invoice your club directly.
The OLA can also assist clubs with lawn sign design. Using a standard template, the OLA will customize local club information to create print-ready artwork. We can customize the look for box, field or women’s field by using:
Primary club colour
Club logo
Club website URL
Turnaround for design and pick-up at the OLA Office is five business days. Any clubs wishing to customize lawn signs for their organization can contact Jeramie at jeramie@ontariolacrosse.com.

OLA Announces Jim Leworthy as Vice President of Development
TORONTO, ON – November 21st, 2019 – The Ontario Lacrosse Association (OLA) is proud to announce and welcome Jim Leworthy as Vice President of Development. Jim will be responsible for the administration of the Ontario Lacrosse Association’s Quest for Gold program coordinator, Team Ontario program coordinator and OLA In-School program coordinator. He will also play an assisting role for volunteer recruitment and long-term planning at the association level by examining grass roots, house league and fundamental development opportunities for lacrosse programs throughout the province.
Jim comes to the OLA with many years of involvement and energy in minor and junior box lacrosse clubs. Following his playing career, he coached a team for the West Mall Lacrosse Association before serving in the Southern Etobicoke Lacrosse Association (SELA) as vice-president, referee and coach from 1969 to 1976. In 1984 he established the Milton Lacrosse Association, serving as Association President 1995 before establishing the Milton Maverick Junior "B" Lacrosse Program in 1995. Upon his retirement, he relocated to Orillia, where he managed their Junior "B" club from 2011 until 2017. Prior to his election to the OLA's Board of Directors, he served as an OLA Committee Representative as appointed by the OLA President.
“We are incredibly fortunate to welcome Jim as the newest member of the OLA's Board of Directors,” said Marion Ladouceur, President of the Ontario Lacrosse Association. “We look forward to working with Jim to lay out a technical vision for the sustained growth and development of participants across the province, and are confident in Jim’s ability to execute this plan and meet our LTAD objectives.”
Jim can now be reached by email at vpdevelopment@ontariolacrosse.com.
