Six Steps To The Crease (Archive Videos)

Written

In our new world of social distancing, the Six Steps To The Crease webcast series is intended for all of us to remain connected to our athletes, bench personnel, officials and volunteers. The title "Six Steps To The Crease" was specifically chosen as a subtle nod to the current social distancing requirements: while the "six foot distance" can make us feel a little disconnected at times, we can all agree that being six steps to the crease is still so close to the goal. It is our hope that this message of inspiration and connection will resonate with everyone who wishes to participate.

We have been fortunate to share presentations from a fantastic group of energetic lacrosse leaders who currently participate in the OLA, or have previously participated in the past. On behalf of everyone involved, thank you to Dan Dawson, Eddie Comeau, Josh Sanderson, Kaillie Kelly, Lyndsay Brooks, Jonathan Donville, Anthony Cosmo, Dane Dobbie and Erica Evans for sharing their insights on the game. We are excited to share these previous episodes in our media archive (as well as in the list below). Although this webcast series has been popularly received, we have realigned our current efforts to focus on Return To Activity planning, but we hope to create more of these types of resources in the future. In the meantime, we hope that you will enjoy our first eight episodes below!

Stay safe!

2020 OLA Lawn Signs Promotion

The OLA Lawn Sign Promotion is now available for clubs throughout Ontario. Lawn signs are a great way to announce your club's registration and promote the sport within your community. The promotion period ends on Friday, January 31st, 2020. Sample signs are attached below - congratulations to Innisfil, Lincoln, Northumberland and Windsor for being the first four associations to order lawn signs for the 2020 season!

The cost for all orders in before the January 31st  deadline is $200.00 for 100 lawn signs & wire frames. Signs must be picked up in Toronto (from the OLA Office; DVP & Wynford Drive). The OLA will invoice your club directly.

The OLA can also assist clubs with lawn sign design. Using a standard template, the OLA will customize local club information to create print-ready artwork. We can customize the look for box, field or women’s field by using:

    Primary club colour
    Club logo
    Club website URL

Turnaround for design and pick-up at the OLA Office is five business days. Any clubs wishing to customize lawn signs for their organization can contact Jeramie at jeramie@ontariolacrosse.com.
